More Information

With everything he created, Danish designer Børge Mogensen employed what he called the “workshop” method, by which he meant making furniture that was well-crafted and utilitarian. A result of this approach is the Asserbo Table (1961), or BM0698, which he designed for his own vacation home in Asserbo, Denmark. Made of solid, dark-oiled eucalyptus with visible brushed brass screws, this table showcases Mogensen’s belief that when you use beautiful materials, the need for decorative embellishments is unnecessary. This durable, timeless table can be enjoyed in a cozy kitchen or airy dining room, as well as in a restaurant, workspace, or café. Made in Vietnam.

A modern classic by Danish designer Børge Mogensen.
Solid eucalyptus, a hard wood known for its subtle woodgrain and scarcity of knots.
The wood comes from sustainably forested, fast-growing eucalyptus trees.
Visible brass screw hardware.
Soft rounded edges warm this Shaker-like design.
