Mathieu Matégot’s Baghdad Portable Lamp (1954), reissued by Gubi in 2024, remains a design classic. Matégot’s pioneering material and process, Rigitulle, combines metal tubing with perforated metal to give the lamp its distinctive origami-like shape and playful comet-shaped tip. Gubi’s dimmable version adds rechargeability via a built-in USB port, making this lamp ideal for the desk, table or bedside. Bulb (included): 0.8W LED, 120 Lumen, 2700K. Made in China.
